Okay so it won’t make the newcomer rich, at least not at first. And it is a business so it will require them to do some actual work. But it does beat digging ditches and flipping burgers. Imagining many are tired of being lied to anyway; and probably welcome the opportunity to get their hands dirty if it means getting started making money online.
The good news is, just like with any other job they all become easier with some practice. This too will get easier. The writer will get faster. And when tying these two together, one can start to make great income from it. It is also considered to be the easiest transition to starting an online career.
Most people just don’t realize that they can do it. Many believe you would need to have an English degree or some extensive training to at least get started. That’s not true. If someone has these types of backgrounds, then there is certainly even more opportunities to make a great living from freelancing. But the truth of the matter is, that people from all walks of life are joining this pool of online writers.
Writing an article is fairly simple. Researching the topic is pretty much square one. No need to go to the library, there is a boatload of information with the click of a mouse on line. This is where most article writers derive their inspiration from. However, it’s important to note that there is also a lot of bad information online. Part of the writer’s job is factual research. So finding a good source or two, to pull inspiration from is a good starting point.
Most article writers who are not banging down the big dollars right out of the gate, need to then focus on speed and efficiency. A simple stopwatch is a great motivator for this. Allow a set amount of time for research, writing, and editing. If this is stuck to, it will create great habits for the writer.
Most writing platforms such as: Microsoft Word, Open Office, etc. have a spell check built into the program. However, it’s not a good idea to rely heavily on this. It’s better to view these spell checks as a speed tool rather than a editing tool. A lot of people find this out the hard way. They will do a good job of catching things on the fly, but are far from perfect. Many things like: double space, space comma, and others are often missed with these spell checks. While it’s obvious that the Internet content is often plagued with poor grammar, it doesn’t mean writers shouldn’t strive to do better.
Now that the article is finished, it’s time to get paid for the work. Most writers these days use PayPal as the preferred method of payment. It’s secure and transactions are a cinch and immediate. Another great thing about PayPal, is there debit card which is free to sign up for. This can make money spendable literally within minutes of completing the work; and depending on how soon the buyer releases the funds. This has certainly become one of those invaluable tools for the article writer.
